As World War II spreads across the globe, Elsie and August uncover a terrifying conspiracy: tainted novels designed to amplify fear. These corrupted books feed a dark resonance known as Umbrafyrum, a force powerful enough to destabilize the fragile balance between worlds.

 

If the darkness continues to spread, both worlds may collapse entirely.

 

And guarding the door between worlds may cost Elsie more than she ever imagined.
